Mazda Canada says its dealers will be offering a vinyl decals or skins for the exterior of its 2011 Mazda2.
As the new entry point into Mazdas line-up, the all-new 2011 Mazda2 will appeal to a younger generation of drivers who value individuality and self-expression, especially when it comes to their vehicles, the company said in a release.
Mazda Canada assembled a youth marketing committee composed of eight Generation-Yers from within the company and charged them with creating launch ideas for the Mazda2.
One of this committees products is the Mazda skins program. Exclusive to the Canadian market, customers can choose from one of four themes (rock, pop, urban and speed) in three different sizes and seven different colours to match the car.
Costs for the new accessory ranges from $375 to $595, plus installation. Application happens at the dealership and takes approximately an hour, depending on the size.
The Skins are made from 3M automotive vinyl, are safe on the vehicles paint and are included in the vehicles 3-year, 80,000 km warranty.
Todays young people are all about standing out from the crowd, and expressing their own style and taste, says David Klan, of Mazda Canada Inc.
