Manheim Halifax gets new GM

Manheim Canada named Howard Connolly the new general manager of Manheim Halifax. A seasoned auction industry veteran, Connolly brings more than 30 years of automotive and auction experience to the role.
Prior to joining Manheim, he spent more than 16 years in the remarketing industry serving in a variety of roles including auction operations manager, assistant general manager and most recently, auction general manager in Halifax since 2007.
In addition, his broad remarketing experience includes six years as Dollar Thrifty Automotive’s remarketing manager for Canada. Connolly also spent 14 years with Avis Rent-a-Car. “We are very happy to have Howard on board,” said Jerry Tassone, Manheim’s V-P of northeast operations.
“His background and understanding of this market provides a great opportunity for both our customers and our employees.”
Connolly added he was excited with the new opportunity noting he is looking forward to being a part of the many projects underway designed to continue to enhance the customers’ experience.
But as one auction location gains a new leader, Manheim Canada continues to look for another after Cheryl Munce stepped down as general manager of Manheim Toronto late last month to pursue other opportunities.
