Online auction company OPENLANE has announced it is extending its iDEAL Open Seller program from the U.S. into Canada.

Previously unavailable to Canadian dealers, OPENLANE’s  iDEAL program debuted online last week and is expected  to be a big contender for online auction business in the coming months.

The company boasts the program will allow independent and franchised dealers, fleet lease companies and retail operators the chance to market and sell vehicles to dealers across the country.

Without the need to physically move units to auction, OPENLANE says clients will sell more cars faster at “true market prices.”

“Now sellers of all sizes can easily list and market their vehicles for sale across Canada and leverage all the benefits of our fast growing Canadian Open Auction,” Peter Kelly, president and CFO of OPENLANE, said in a press release.

According to OPENLANE, dealers will benefit from lower costs, no cost of transporting vehicles to and from physical auctions, as well as employees having less time away from dealerships. Vehicle inspection, arbitration services and disclosure policies are all in place to help buyers and sellers.

Also available are third party inspections, vehicle history reports, vehicle condition reports with the Ontario Motor Vehicles Dealers Act (OMVDA), a sales support team and a page for seller marketing.
