TradeRev said it has expanded its executive team with the hiring of Brad Hart as the chief operating officer.

“We are excited to have Brad join our executive team,” said James Tani, V-P of business development of TradeRev.

“As we continue to expand in Canada and the US, the experience and knowledge that Brad brings to our team will be instrumental in the ongoing success of TradeRev. We are committed to being on the forefront of changes in the automotive remarketing industry and are continually finding new ways to ensure that our system is the simplest, and most effective online automotive remarketing tool out there.”

Hart had last worked as a manager of Harbour Castle Investments, a small property management company, though most in the auto industry know him from his previous role with Manheim. He spent more than 20 years with Manheim leaving his post as V-P of operations in 2012.

“TradeRev is all about providing powerful but simple technology solutions to a marketplace that is hungry for more efficient ways of sourcing vehicle inventory and conducting retail transactions,” Hart said in a release.

“It is exciting to be on the leading edge of a market transformation in which mobile technologies allow the competitive auction process to take places on dealers’ lots in real time. I truly believe this is just the beginning for TradeRev’s near and long-term success.”

Founded in 2009, TradeRev is an online automotive remarketing system that ensures transparency and efficiency in the trade appraisal and buying process.

TradeRev said it gives users the ability to launch and participate in real-time auctions at any time from their mobile device. It currently operates throughout Canada and the United States.
